Industrial Engineering Intern

Opening for Spring 2026

Job description

Job Summary

 

Position involves the direct observation, measurement, and documentation of manufacturing processes.  Other responsibilities will require the analysis of data to reveal inefficiencies within processes and provide input to improve the use of materials, machines, and manpower.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct time studies for manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze data to reveal trends.
  • Identify waste and provide input for improvement.
  • Process documentation & reports.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Job Qualifications

 

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES:

  • Currently enrolled in an Engineering program, Industrial Engineering preferred, at an accredited college or university and/or accumulated credits towards a degree in Industrial Engineering.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Knowledge of Industrial Engineering and/or Manufacturing fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Data Analysis & Reporting Software (Excel, Minitab)
  • Computer Aided Design Programs (Autocad)
  • Collaboration and Communication Programs (Microsoft Teams, Zoom)
  • Statistical Analysis

 
REQUIRED SKILL IN: 

  • Communication & presentation skills.
