Huhtamaki the leading supplier of drinking cups, frozen dessert, and food packaging containers, is looking for an Electrician to join our Electrical Department in Fulton, New York.

Essential Duties:

Job includes but not limited to the installation, repair, trouble shooting, fabrication, modification and testing of industrial electrical equipment in a 24/7 advanced manufacturing environment.  Will apply knowledge and application of electrical principles, procedures, materials, and safety standards for electrical systems below 600 volts. Electrical installation and maintenance of wired communication systems, power distribution systems, automated electrical-mechanical equipment, high speed converting machinery, and material conveyance systems.  Apply skills and experience working with generators, actuators, switching, PLCs, control panels, electrical circuitry, conduit systems, junction boxes, AC and DC motors, electrical harnesses, transformers, and power amplifiers.  Safely and properly use electrical testing equipment and hand tools.  Read and interpret machine drawings, equipment manuals, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Physical Capabilities:

• Standing for long periods of time, climbing steps and walking during shift
• Bending, kneeling, twisting frequently
• Lifting objects, climbing ladders, and working at elevated heights as needed

Minimum Requirements: 

• Three years of industrial electrical and maintenance experience
• Journeyman electrician level certification or equivalent 2 years electrical technology training certification
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong electrical aptitude, good communication skills (written and verbal), demonstrated basic computer skills, good eye/hand coordination.

This position is an hourly position. Starting rate of pay is $29.54.  Overtime may be required when necessary.  Must be able to work weekends as needed.
