  • 1st work term $19.50
  • 2nd work term $21.00
  • 3rd work term $22.50

$700 housing stipend if permanent address is greater than 50 miles from Vance, AL

Our facility is one of the most advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the world, with over 6 million square feet under one roof. The plant, located in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, is positioned in an area of natural beauty and abundant natural resources.

Job Overview

Co-op students will have the opportunity to gain real world working experience in the Mercedes-Benz manufacturing environment in either one or multiple departments during his/her work term(s).

Duties and responsibilities

Work with respective management to structure a main project for the term.

Perform daily/weekly tasks as instructed by your supervisor. 

Schedule and attend meetings with your supervisor and mentor(s) to gain feedback and discuss progress on the project and tasks assigned.

Conduct an end-of-term presentation and/or final presentation with your team including your respective E4, E3, and E2 (if final).

Complete any required trainings for the department including but not limited to Mercedes Production Systems (MPS). 

Act as an ambassador for the company by demonstrating integrity and maintaining corporate values with a positive and energetic attitude.

Qualifications

Applicants must be able to work full-time at the plant in Tuscaloosa during their Co-op or internship work term(s). Qualified applicants must be currently enrolled as a student in an accredited university in a relevant field of study and in good standing.
