Education and Experience
To be successful, a candidate should possess:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Pulp & Paper Technology
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Some travel is required for this position, up to 25%, passport required
- Excellent capability with Microsoft Office
- Strong command of the English language in both written and verbal communication
- Maintenance, Planning, or Reliability Engineering experience an advantage
- Desires hands-on experience in any type of industry.
Principal Duties
Major responsibilities are listed but not necessarily limited to the following duties:
- Responsible for executing maintenance assessments, performance studies, and action plans
- Developing pre-engineering, startups, shutdowns, overhauls, reliability engineering, installation, and online monitoring of field instrumentation, and process performance
- Implementing new maintenance and performance tools, as well as supporting the demands for instrumentation and automation in the field under our maintenance contracts
- Implementing best practices in planning and scheduling, coaching planners, reviewing CMMS configuration, reviewing workflows, and defining and monitoring KPIs
- You will collaborate with engineers from the Pulp & Paper divisions and our customers, both within and outside the Andritz Group
