Co-Op Electrical Engineer – 2025/2026 total of 4 positions
This position is 3 rotating terms with the understanding that you sign up in the co-op program at your university.
We are looking have 4 Open Positions:
1 Project Electrical Engineering co-op starting their rotation in summer 2025
1 Reliability Electrical Engineering co-op starting their rotation in fall 2025
1 Reliability Electrical Engineering co-op starting their rotation in spring 2026
1 Project Electrical Engineering co-op starting their rotation in spring 2026
Co- Op Reliability Engineer Responsibilities include:
- Work with Area Reliability Engineers as a resource on daily troubleshooting issues. Second and Third Term students will be assigned additional job duties to further their development.
- Work on special project assignments assisting Reliability Engineers. This will help teach responsibility and develop communication skills.
- Focus on predictive and preventive maintenance techniques to improve equipment reliability. Examples are lubrication techniques, optical alignment and vibration analysis.
Exposure to best practice maintenance and assist in root cause failure analysis process to resolve equipment failures.
Co- Op Project Engineer Responsibilities include:
- The co-op will work with the Project Engineering group.
- Work with Project Engineers as a resource for capital projects.
- Work on special projects assigned to assist engineers, teach responsibility, and improve communication.
- Utilize computer software for P&ID drawing and assist in maintaining equipment files.
- Will be required to work with other lab personnel, operators, and supervisors.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled at Mississippi State University, The University of Mississippi, Auburn University, University of Alabama, University of Maine, University of North Carolina State, Texas A&M University, University of Miami Ohio, Tennessee Technology University, or any University of TN and majoring in Electrical Engineering or a related field and have completed the freshman year. A minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0 is required and must be a permanent U.S. resident.
