Software Developer Intern

Software Developer, Intern

Purpose of this Position: The Intern will learn to understand the overall concept of the company, including the software, brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service during their time as an Intern at McLeod Software. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Rotates through our product divisions of responsibility and provides ideas to grow and improve the business.
  • Accepts designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present final project during the internship.
  • Engages with customers or clients and provides service and/or sales.
  • Provide suggestions to management for improving customer service and internal processes.
  • Learns and becomes proficient on internal software systems.

Competencies:

  • Collegiate student or recent graduate.
  • Eager to learn and work with various departments in the company.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Cope well under pressure.
  • Organization skills.
  • Confidentiality.

Education/Experience:

Attending college or recent college graduate. 

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret trade publications, technical documentation, reports, and other documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers, peers, or members of the business community. Ability to write communications and documentations grammatically correct for routine business correspondence.

Reasoning Ability: 

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions with abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office knowledge.
