Mechanical Co-op Student
Newcomb & Boyd, a multi-discipline engineering firm headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia is looking for a Mechanical Co-op Student to start the Summer and Fall 2025 semesters.

As a co-op with Newcomb & Boyd’s Consulting Engineering Group, you will be an integral part of a team of engineers multi-tasking on several projects at various stages of design and construction. With each subsequent semester, responsibility level will increase as you experience many facets of our profession.
Responsibilities
· Create layouts and designs of Mechanical power and lighting systems
· Collaborate with other engineers, consultants, and architects to coordinate aspects of
our designs
· Visit construction sites and review of completed work
· Participate in Owner and Client meetings
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Ability to communicate well in writing, as well as verbally
· A desire to develop their knowledge and grow
· Prioritizes effectively, has good follow-through, and is a self-starter
Education
· Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

· University of Georgia campus, including the Veterinary Medical Learning Center, the Center for Molecular Medicine, the Science Learning Center, and Correll Hall.
· Georgia Tech campus, including the Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design — the first major project in the southeast to achieve Living Certification for the Living Building Challenge.
