Job location: Auburn University

Co-ops will work closely with our Preconstruction, Project Management, and Field Operations staff to gain meaningful hands-on experience in the Commercial Construction Industry.

The Co-op program consists of the following 3 semesters:

Estimating

Perform estimating tasks and provide support to the estimating team with regards to the project set-up, bid process, estimate preparation, and maintaining positive subcontractor relationships on a wide range of projects.

Project Management

Assist with submittal, RFI, drawing and schedule management while learning how the coordination of various scopes of work translate into a finished product. Participate in aiding PM/Supervision staff as needed to continue training and growth.

Field Operations

Assist Project Superintendent/supervision staff in the field with concrete form work, concrete finishing, rough carpentry, grading, doors and hardware, blocking, division 10- specialties, drawings and documentation management, building and sight layout and controls, managing Composite crew and hourly staff, project scheduling, while learning how the coordination of various scopes of work translate into a finished product. This rotation will also provide the experience needed to identify quality issues in the process of quality control.
