Environmental Engineering Co-op
This is a co-op opportunity for students actively enrolled in an accredited environmental engineering, or related, undergraduate program with a demonstrated interest in land development, wetland delineation, and construction stormwater compliance inspections. Our co-ops gain exposure to real projects while working side by side with dedicated team.
Working under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer, co-ops can expect to participate in the following ways:
- Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
- Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
- Studying and becoming familiar with ADEM, USACE, and associated agencies regulatory requirements that have an effect on projects
Required Qualifications:
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally.
- Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to executive projects.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
- Authorization to work in the United States during the co-op.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Open, navigate, and input information accurately into the core software and systems: Microsoft Office Suite, Civil 3D, Microstation, Inroads, Arc GIS, Google Earth Pro, Adobe Acrobat.
