Job location - Opelika Site

IS4S Opelika specializes in hands-on Defense R&D programs. Our engineers are expected to design, execute, analyze, and present novel concepts and experiments. Our engineers use the following skill sets: Basics design, CAD, shop tools, additive manufacturing, data acquisition, novel sensor applications, project management, contractor oversight, data processing, analysis, presentation, navigating government regulations, and proposal writing. Individuals with initiative, self-management, creativity, and a get-it-done attitude will thrive at our company.

As Co-ops you will be expected to aid the engineers in fulfilling their contract goals with the expectation that you will be trained to take on similar responsibilities and abilities.

As IS4S, Co-ops will have the opportunity to develop a wide variety of skill sets:

Experimental energetic and small arms test execution, mechanical design and fabrication, PCB/microcontroller design and assembly, additive manufacturing, and facility development.
