Software Developer Co-Op

Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in developing web services and integrated project management software applications? UDA Technologies is seeking motivated individuals for a co-op position in our Auburn office. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with our software development, sales, graphic design, and marketing teams to contribute to the growth and innovation of UDA Technologies products. Ideal Candidates Will:

  • Have a background in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Possess a mature, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
  • Be highly motivated and eager to learn.
  • Have working knowledge (or the willingness to learn) in web development, content management, Visual Studio, ASP.NET, JavaScript, SQL Server, HTML, AJAX, JSON, XML, and jQuery.

Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with all these technologies; we’re here to help you develop these skills and grow as a developer during your co-op at UDA Technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document, and maintain product application source code.
  • Review and debug product application source code to ensure quality control.
  • Create new components for our expanding software suite.
  • Provide advanced application support.
  • Evaluate customer needs and offer feedback for new product features.
  • Analyze and improve software development plans and procedures.
  • Participate in planning and analyzing new opportunities and markets for our software.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled at Auburn University in software engineering, computer science, or a related degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of software development cycles.
  • Ability to plan and meet development deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and customer-focused.
  • Coding experience in languages such as Java, C++, Python, VB.Net, or JavaScript.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous code contributions to open source projects or code samples from GitHub.
  • Experience with web and/or mobile app development.
