Auburn On-Campus Interviews - September 24, 2024

Geosyntec Consultants, a specialized environmental consulting and engineering firm, will be available to meet with Civil / Environmental and Biosystems Engineering students at Auburn University on September 24, 2024.  These meetings will allow Auburn students the opportunity to interact with Geosyntec practitioners and to learn more about full-time and internship opportunities with the firm throughout the United States.  Note that this posting is only open to current Auburn students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fieldwork such as soil, surface water and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, construction site inspections, and remediation treatment system operation and maintenance;
  • Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting;
  • Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures; and
  • Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.

Education and Licensure

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in a relevant engineering discipline (environmental, civil, chemical or related). (required)
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, if applicable. (preferred)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience working in challenging outdoor environments. (preferred)
  • Prior research experience in civil, environmental, or water resources engineering or a related field. (preferred)
  • Prior internship or work experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
  • Experience with engineering and analytical software and programming languages such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, VBA, R, or Python. (preferred)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required).
