OIT Campus Co-op Cybersecurity Analyst
The Auburn University Cybersecurity team protects, detects, and responds to cyber activity ensuring confidentiality to the University's data and systems. The Co-op Cybersecurity Analyst will primarily focus on Security Operation Center activities while assisting the Cybersecurity Program with various projects and activities.
We mentor, train, and prepare you for a successful career beyond the classroom. While focusing on detection and response activities in the SOC, the co-op will have the opportunity to shadow other cybersecurity professionals focused on network, system and cloud security.
Essential Functions:
- Monitoring and triaging alerts with detection and monitoring tools
- Responding to Tier 1 cybersecurity incidents and escalating as needed
- Perform threat hunting within our threat intelligence systems
- Assist with cybersecurity projects related to cloud, network, endpoint, and identity
Minimum Qualifications:
- All Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Design, Computer Programming and Information Systems Management majors
- Must have 2.5 GPA or higher
- Must be a US citizen
