Civil Engineer Co-op
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Civil Engineer Co-op to join our team in the Auburn, Alabama office. This position offers an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering to gain practical experience in a professional setting. As a co-op, you will work closely with experienced engineers and contribute to various projects while developing your technical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, including Utility, Transportation, Geotechnical, and Environmental engineering.
- Support project teams by conducting research, performing calculations, and preparing technical reports.
- Aid in the development of project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Participate in field surveys and inspections, collecting data and documenting findings.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Utilize engineering software and tools for modeling and analysis.
- Attend meetings and contribute ideas to enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with civil engineering concepts and principles.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools) is a plus
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
