Engineering Co-Op
Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is one of the largest privately-held architecture and engineering firms in the Southeast.
GMC has an opening for an Engineering Co-Op to support on-going projects in the Auburn, Birmingham, and Montgomery, AL offices. This position will be expected to work closely with Engineers across our footprint on projects.
Essential functions and responsibilities include:
- Collecting, preparing, and assessing data for use in evaluations, studies, design development, and construction administration
- Supporting the development and completion of design drawings and specifications
- Assisting in management of projects under construction
- Providing support to GMC Engineers as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Pursing Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- Working knowledge with AutoCAD (REVIT a plus)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with LEED Certified Projects and passion for Sustainability (LEED Accredited) is a plus
