Ergonomics Assessments Intern
As an Intern at Lennox, you will be a part of a team of innovative and knowledgeable industry professionals. This is approximately a 10 to 12-week program that will provide you with real work experiences to grow your career and provide exposure to business leaders throughout the company.
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct ergonomics assessments within a manufacturing facility, focusing on enhancing workplace safety and efficiency.
- Plan assessment workflows, breaking down jobs into individual tasks for detailed analysis.
- Record work activities using video equipment for further evaluation.
- Utilize TuMeke virtual motion assessment software to upload and analyze video footage.
- Apply the Washington Ergonomics assessment process to identify potential ergonomic risks.
- Employ various ergonomic assessment tools, including NIOSH Lift, Auburn Engineers DF Ergo, and Moore-Garg Strain Index, to quantify and define risks.
- Coordinate development and implementation of solutions or administrative controls for identified risks.
- Document and upload assessment findings and recommendations into the Intelex application for tracking and follow-up.
Required Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of ergonomic assessment process
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent collaboration and teaming skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Understanding of and interaction with databases
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Ergonomics, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independent as well as part of a team
