OxyChem is looking for entry-level individuals pursuing a degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering to fill the position of Environmental Engineer.

Essential Job Duties: 

  • This position is the focal point for integrating Environmental practices and policies into daily operations.   The position will develop and implement new programs designed to improve Environmental performance and enhance compliance within Oxy’s chemical business in the areas of Air Permitting & Emissions, Stormwater, Wastewater, Waste Management, and Spill Prevention & Reporting.  
  • Additional duties may include improving data management, record keeping, internal and external reporting, communication with regulatory and other government agencies, training, and development of presentations. 
  • This position is a developmental position and will be a future candidate to fill key Environmental leadership roles at a manufacturing facility (primarily in the gulf coast region) to fulfill developmental and organizational needs. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Student in qualified Environmental, or Chemical Engineering Degree program
  • Must maintain minimum cumulative 2.85 GPA on a 4.0 scale
    • Minimum 2 extracurricular and/or work activities
  • Must have a graduation date between December 2023 – May 2024
  • Must be willing to relocate
