Inside Technical Sales

JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you have the “Gift-To-Gab”?  Can you explain complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical customers?  Do you like helping & serving others? Would you enjoy  working with industrial products utilized in a variety of industries such as automotive; manufacturing; foundry & steel; chemical; pulp & paper and many others?  Join Fluid Engineering's sales team & put your relationship skills to work while building a fun and fulfilling career in technical sales.   You will use & develop your relationship building skills by serving in an inside sales capacity.  You will prepare quotations; assemble and submit technical information; help develop account growth strategies; and serve customers in order to win their business.    

QUALIFICATIONS  &  SKILLS

Qualifications: 

Qualified candidates will have a degree in Industrial Distribution; Engineering / Engineering Technology; Marketing or other related degrees.  Various levels of skill and experience will be considered.

Skills You “MUST HAVE”: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical customers.
  • Active listening skills to understand customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Persuasive communication to effectively convey the value proposition of products/services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers, understand their needs, and establish trust.
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Efficient time management
  • Must handle multiple customer interactions, sales inquiries, and administrative tasks.
  • Strong Organizational skills to maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, sales pipelines, and documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Excel; PowerPoint;  & Word
  • Never quit attitude. Ability to handle rejection, challenges, and changes in the sales landscape with a positive attitude.

Skills that would be helpful: 

  • Skill in creating compelling presentations and product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits.
  • Ability to tailor presentations to match the specific needs and interests of different customers.
  • Mechanically inclined
