Housing: Housing will be covered if needed by student up to $800/mo.

Company Description:
Shelby Company is a local commercial general contractor located in Birmingham AL. We specialize in adaptive reuse projects in the heart of downtown. We also specialize in Healthcare, Institutional, Restaurants, and Private Office Developments.
Co-op Program at Your Company:
Shelby company is a close-knit group. We work together in an open office environment. The co-ops will work directly alongside all Shelby employees, including the President, directors, and all managers. While in a field rotation, the co-op will work in a hands-on environment learning from the skilled craftsmen and superintendents who self-perform the work.
Responsibilities:
Co-Op’s will be working directly for a Director or Manager and will immediately become part of the team. The co-op will be exposed to all aspects of the business and will help manage/execute accordingly.
Work Environment:
Shelby’s culture is a differentiator in the industry. While in the office, the co-op will be part of the entire office team. The desk and set up will be same for the co-op as it is for all other employees. In the field, the co-op will be part of the team executing the work on the jobsite. Again our culture is different, and our field employees create healthy and successful jobsites.
Qualifications:
· Building Science or Civil Engineer Curriculum
· Passion for Construction
