SU 2023 Expo Fall Internship/Co-op Opportunity

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Real Estate Development/Construction intern/co-op to assist with various tasks related to real estate development and construction. This is a part-time, paid internship for a duration of three to four months with the potential for extension. As an intern, you will work under the guidance of experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in the real estate development and construction industry.

Responsibilities:

·      Support our culture of working safely

·      Assist with estimating and/or construction field work

·      Coordinate shop drawing and submittal review process

·      Provide document control including shop drawings, submittals, change orders, progress photos and daily reports

·      Assist or lead estimating scope takeoff

·      Assist with scheduled construction activities

·      Perform other duties as required

·      Communicate with general contractors, subcontractors and vendors via phone, email, and in-person

Qualifications:

·      Currently pursuing a degree in building construction, engineering or a related field

·      Strong organizational and communication skills

·      Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)

·      Ability to learn Microsoft Project scheduling software

·      Ability to learn Procore Construction Management Software

·      Ability to work independently and in a team environment
