Civil/Environmental Project Engineer

WHO WE NEED
Experience
  • BS in engineering (Civil or environmental preferred, consideration also given to other disciplines)
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • AutoCAD experience a plus

Responsibilities
  • Drafting in AutoCad Civil 3D or similar software (for waterlines, gravity sewer mains, force mains, and water/wastewater treatment processes) 
  • Design municipal/civil projects under the supervision of a Professional Engineer 
  • Site visits to support design process and observe construction 
  • Hydraulic calculations including pump sizing, gravity line design and force main design
  • Preliminary engineering report writing and funding assistance (including initial project concepts, cost estimating, and state environmental reviews)
  • Technical report writing - design development report, anti-degradation analysis, environmental review and planning documents, Annual Biosolids Report
  • Bidding and Construction Administration assistance (including preparation of bid plans and specifications, attending bid meetings, review of pay requests during construction, submittal review)

While this is an in-office position, we understand that life happens. When necessary, we work with our employees to shift hours around and/or work from home. Having work done at the house? Mid-morning doctor’s appointment? We get it. 

Locations
Moultrie: Seated in Georgia’s No. 1 agricultural county, Moultrie is home to a beautiful downtown area, several notable parks and plantations, and miles of scenic farmland. It is the ultimate place for those who prefer a more rural setting.

Macon: Settled in the heart of Georgia, this growing city maintains its historical spirit while boasting new and impressive restaurants and shopping areas. You can enjoy the many unique festivals and events offered throughout the year or go kayaking in the Ocmulgee River that runs through the city.

Canton: Conveniently located in the suburbs between the city of Atlanta and the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains. This is an ideal middle ground for folks who like the hustle and bustle of city life but also enjoy being close to nature. 

Athens: Perfect for those of us who like to be near things to do without the congestion of a larger city. The office is just outside Athens in Watkinsville, so you can live in a rural area while being close to the 6th largest City in Georgia or live in the more urban areas with a short commute to the office.
