Civil Engineering Graduate (Local Transportation)

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is currently filling up to two Civil Engineering Graduate positions in the East Central Region, Local Transportation Section located in Birmingham, Alabama. One position will have a primary concentration in Construction Management. Typical duties include monitoring project progress, coordinating with project personnel, project sponsor reimbursements, and review of progress payment estimates. The second position will have a primary concentration in Preconstruction Management. Typical duties include communicating with stakeholders and designers, coordinating project plan development, monitoring plan development milestones, and processing funding agreements. Both positions will participate in the review of construction plans. Both positions are based in Birmingham, Alabama, and are responsible for projects in the Birmingham Area of ALDOT which includes Blount, Jefferson, Shelby, and St. Clair Counties including all municipalities within.
