Survey Field Technician / Land Survey Intern

T-O Engineers, an Ardurra Company is seeking an experienced Survey Field Technician/Land Survey Intern to join our Coeur d’Alene, ID and/or Spokane, WA Survey Team.
 
Required Qualifications 
    * LSI Certificate a plus
    * GPS/RTK and (Robotic) Total Station experience a plus
    * Experience performing Topographic/Existing Features Surveys, Construction Surveys, Boundary/Property/Right-of-Way Surveys, etc., also a plus
    * Have a good understanding of construction plans and subdivision plats
    * Ability to draft Subdivision Plats, Records of Survey, ALTAs and boundary descriptions a plus
    * Experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D and Trimble Business Center a plus
    * Experience with GPS receivers and controllers as well as Robotic total stations
    * Demonstrate willingness, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
    * Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather as well as in a professional office environment
    * Excellent communication skills
    * Personal appearance must be clean and professional
    * Self-motivated, team-oriented individual with the ability to work on challenging projects in a team environment
 
Key Responsibilities  
    * Assist in coordinating daily crew tasks and assignments
    * Review and complete project tasks and timelines
    * Perform project research and set up
    * Daily data and field note reduction, QA / QC field data, etc.
    * Perform boundary calculations for Records of Survey and Subdivision Plats
    * Draft Plats and Surveys utilizing Civil 3D to company standards
    * Research and preparation of boundary descriptions
    * Perform calculations that may be needed for construction
    * Field work will be required, as needed
    * Perform other duties as assigned
 
Physical Requirements  
    * Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    * Ability to navigate various locations and settings of the company
    * Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
    * Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate a vehicle and able to operate company owned vehicles, including ATVs
