Job Description

This individual will provide engineering and support for process improvement projects at the Florence MC and Building Wire Plant. The individual will coordinate continuous improvement initiatives, cost reduction projects, capital project justifications, project timelines, and work measurement. This individual will work to ensure that plant objectives are met and exceeded.
 
Description of Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities to improve project costs and timelines.
  • Analyze inefficiencies in plant process and equipment and work with engineering and management to improve.
  • Work with manufacturing teams and equipment vendors to specify equipment.
  • Assist with sustainability reporting (Environmental, Human Capital, and Safety)
  • Facilitate follow upon equipment installations and commissioning
  • Assist with future equipment evaluations
  • Assist with reports and presentations
 
Eligibility Requirements
  • Ability to work 40-hour work weeks during rotation 
  • Willingness and ability to commit to a minimum of 3 rotations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, or other Engineering field required
  • Minimum GPA 2.5
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must be able to work well on the shop floor with hourly and salaried employees.
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to think critically and logically.
