We recruit top talent and are currently seeking a full-time Geotechnical Staff Professional to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Our Raleigh office has a need for an individual who has construction and geotechnical engineering experience and would like to be in a place where they can use those skills to develop into a consulting geotechnical engineer. Position responsibilities include coordination of field explorations, field/laboratory logging of soil and rock samples, performing engineering calculations/design, and preparation of basic proposals and reports. In addition, candidate will observe proofroll/undercut, pile installation and other construction related activities as well as geotechnical field testing such as dynamic cone penetrometer testing, observing test pits, and assisting in geophysical and pavement testing activities. Position will work under supervision of an in-office Licensed Engineer. Qualified candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and possess the ability to work as a team player.

Qualifications:
  • BS in Civil, Geotechnical, Geological, Mining, or Environmental Engineering, MS with concentration in geotechnical engineering a plus;
  • Engineer In Training (E.I.T) certification preferred;
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to learn commercial software applications required;
  • Overnight out of town travel and the ability to work outside normal business hours required;
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions;
  • Routine lifting required: 40 to 50 lbs.

This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience. Successful candidate must meet requirements of the company's Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy and Reference check program.
