Nuclear Associate Electrical Engineer

Position Specific Description
 
This position will be located at our NextEra Energy Jupiter West Corporate Office. Engineers in this role provide technical interface across all nuclear station functional groups, to improve equipment reliability and performance. This requires a combination of field work, project development and engineering analysis in accordance with applicable industry and regulatory standards. Experience with tools such as AutoCAD is preferred but not required. Seeking candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering as highly preferred. 

Job Overview

This job supports the project and operational work of senior engineers. Employees in this role perform fundamental engineering tasks that require the application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Individuals participate in the engineering analysis and evaluation process and test solutions to solve problems.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs fundamental engineering activities that require the application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria
  • Participates in the analysis and evaluation of engineering problems
  • Prepares design change and technical evaluation research for review 
  • Develops test activity to evaluate recommended solutions and analyzes data for result inconsistencies
  • Coordinates Engineering activities with other Engineering departments and with other company departments
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • Entry level job requiring comprehension of engineering principles, theory, and their application to power plant systems, components, and structures
