Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an entry level Mechanical Engineer to join the Club Car Consumer Vehicle product development team. We are looking for a talented energetic engineer that has a passion for vehicles to help us continue to develop vehicles that people look forward to sharing with their families and showing off to their friends. 
 
Essential duties and responsibilities
·        Application of mechanical engineering fundamentals to design parts, select appropriate materials and processes, and develop test plans that ensure the product meets or exceeds customer requirements.  
·        Manage and execute smaller scale projects designing and implementing mechanical parts and systems. 
·        Work directly with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Sourcing/Purchasing, Operations to support new product development, quality improvement, and cost reduction projects. 
·        Be the first point of engineering contact for Operations when issues occur on the Consumer Vehicle assembly lines.
·        Work closely with suppliers to develop components that meet specifications.
·        Utilize PTC Creo to design & develop mechanical components.
·        Collaborates with manufacturing engineers to ensure Design For Manufacture (DFM) and to incorporate designs into manufacturing processes.
 
Minimum qualifications 
·        BS in Mechanical Engineering with 0-2 years of industry experience. 
 
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 
·        The right individual will be self-motivated, a strong collaborator, able to think creatively and work with others to find solutions, drive execution, and focus on results.
·        Knowledge of mechanical systems, vehicles preferred 
·        Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
·        PTC CREO or other 3D CAD – modeling experience. 
·        Familiar with simulations such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA). 
·        Application of problem solving and analytical skills to resolve technical issues. 
·        Ability to follow engineering design processes and best practices.
·        Experience working in a team environment. 
·        Up to 10% travel may be required, including international travel.
