Project Engineer with a General Contractor: Assist Project Manager with technically challenging and broad scope of daily project duties. Learn to understand means and methods utilizing value engineering and interaction with professional engineers in the general contracting world of constructing utility and other large environmental projects. Expedite the material procurement, approval, and delivery process as necessary to promote accurate and efficient construction of the project. Work would include; Prepare and track all necessary submittals. Obtain required material certifications. Assist Project Manager with preparation of the bill of material. Order necessary materials and supplies. Maintain project files, current drawings, and production records. Assist the preparation and submittal of all documentation and records required for change orders. Assist in the analysis of the cost for extra work. Assist Project Manager in the overall coordination of the project including subcontractors. Approve receiving invoices. A satisfied client; Completion of every project within time and budget; Optimize project cash flow; Satisfactory subcontractor relations; Accurate and timely cost accounting and forecasting; Identify, pursue and recover fair compensation for all changes in scope; Accurate and timely procurement.
