Transmission Line Engineer

LineWorks Engineering -- one of Tampa Bay Business Journal's 2022 Best Places to Work -- is seeking an experienced Transmission Engineer to support our growing Transmission team based out of our Atlanta, Georgia office. The Transmission Engineer will work closely with LineWorks' team of transmission engineers and our utility clients on the design and installation of overhead electric transmission lines. The Transmission Engineer will use various industry standard in-house and client-based software applications to design and develop engineering construction packages. This is a mid-level position that requires a minimum of 3 years of direct experience in the design of high-voltage overhead transmission lines. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in engineering
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience in designing high-voltage overhead transmission lines
- Experience with PLS-CADD and PLS Pole
- Knowledgeable in design of transmission foundations
- Familiar with foundations design programs (FAD, LPile, APile, etc.)
- Familiar with transmission line hardware and materials
- Familiar with NESC, ASCE, IEEE, ACI and other industry standards
- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite
- Valid driver’s license
- Pre-employment drug screening and background check
