Duties
At the entry level of this position, you will:
- Conduct inspections of work sites and field locations to observe and evaluate practices and environmental conditions for hazards to health and safety.
- Serve as the field Safety Officer/Assistant Safety Officer under the Incident Command Structure as part of the Incident Management Team.
- Provides technical advice and expertise on occupational health problems.
- Plan, schedule and conduct periodic audits of working conditions to determine the nature and extent of any potentially hazardous physical, biological or chemical conditions, and the effectiveness of existing control measures and work processes.
- Analyze findings and where hazardous exposures are discovered, devised or work with technical staff and management to develop control measures.
