Clinical Nurse Educator

Position Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for assisting with curriculum design, development, and delivery of research-based training programs for all new and experienced Nurses, Patient Care Associates (PCAs), and Residential Care Specialists (RCS) staff. The Clinical Nurse Educator coordinates the nursing academic practice partnerships program, conducts orientations and continuing education programs, and gives presentations that utilize nursing best practices, clinical research, and an evidence-based practice approach. The Clinical Nurse Educator participates in the clinical nurse educations team’s quality and safety initiatives.
 
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience developing evidenced based content for training nurses with psychiatric nursing experience.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Teaches educational programs that integrate evidence-based principles and clinical nursing expertise
  • Assess new nursing and staff members’ clinical skill competence and confidence
  • Develop, implement, and communicate education and training programs for nurses and staff throughout their career at Rogers
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs
  • Coordinates academic practice partnerships program
  • Participates with continuous improvement teams to ensure optimal nursing best practices
  • Responsible for welcoming nursing students that come through our clinical hours
  • Complete special projects as requested
  • Knowledgeable of Joint Commission safety goals - qualifications

Requirements:
  • Master of Science Degree in nursing, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on psychiatric mental health clinical preferred
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing with 2+years’ experience in psychiatric/mental health is required OR
  • 15+ years of psychiatric/mental health nursing experience
  • 2+years clinical education/teaching or leadership experience in a behavioral health preferred
  • Registered Nurse licensed by Wisconsin State Board of Nursing is required. License must be in good standing with the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, excel
  • Must be fully vaccinated for Covid unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
 
Schedule:
M-F 8:00 – 4:30pm
No weekends or holidays
