Jr. Field Manager

JR. FIELD MANAGER-NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION 

Elliott Homes, LLC is seeking a Jr. Field Manager, specializing in residential and new home construction. You will be part of a dynamic, progressive homebuilding company, currently building within the Mississippi Gulf Coast Region.

Reporting to the VP of Production, the Jr. Field Manager will assist in overseeing all construction field-related projects ranging from multiunit buildings to single-family homes within Elliott Homes communities. This role will deliver quality projects from development through final construction, monitoring performance, ensuring all duties are followed through, are on schedule, and performed optimally.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 
Construction Management:
  • To Create a Place Where Life Gets Better through managing the construction of our customers’ homes.
  • Fully utilize the resources provided to complete the home on time, with exceptional quality, and within budget.
  • Evaluate project costs and maintain budgets including PO’s, VPO’s, and verifying back charges are processed. Communicate all variances to the designated contact.
  • Be proficient at using our online portal as both a communication and information resource between the field, vendors, and the office.
  • Actively use the company’s dashboard for monitoring your own performance with an eye on constant and never-ending improvement.
  • Manage multiple homes while potentially covering several communities within the region.
  • Oversee the schedule compliance, delivery/use of materials, the quality of construction, worker productivity, and compliance with building/safety codes. 
  • Maintain safe, clean, and compliant job sites.

Meetings & Communication:
  • Participate in team daily huddles, regular team meetings, and the company’s weekly huddle.
  • Daily interactions with trades and municipality officials.

Requirements:
  • A degree in Construction Management preferred.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of directly related experience in the home building industry preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of local trades’ building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Understands all facets of the construction process; ability to read and comprehend detailed construction blueprints, specifications, and detailed development drawings.
  • Manage time effectively, multi-task, and prioritize to maintain schedule compliance for production.
  • Computer proficiency is required to handle purchase orders, schedule, and communication with vendors.
