Chemistry Content Editor
AIR is currently seeking a Chemistry Content Editor to join our Workforce Development Program Area within AIR’s Human Services Division.
Candidates hired for the position may work remotely with the option to work from one of AIR's offices in the Washington, DC metro area.

Responsibilities
The Chemistry Content Editor will edit, review and write college-level test passages and items and provide content expertise to support the building of test forms for a nationally administered, high-stakes exam. The editor will work with external consultants to develop passages and items from authoring to operational usage and is responsible for ensuring the items are technically accurate, stylistically appropriate, and aligned to test specifications, as well as respond to challenges to test content.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
- PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Bioinorganic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry or similar required.
- Minimum of 5 years experience teaching undergraduate-level curriculum including General Chemistry and/or Organic Chemistry.
- Item and test development experience.
Skills:
- Excellent writing and reasoning skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Effective communicator in a virtual/dispersed work environment.
