Accounting Intern

Turner's Seattle office is in search of a self-starter who enjoys a multi-faceted work environment that combines independent tasks and teamwork to assist the tool room finance team and Shop Manager. This is a great opportunity for a student interested in bookkeeping, accounting, logistics, sales, and would enjoy exposure to large commercial construction projects. Most important to this position is an active desire to learn and be a contributing member to a dynamic team. 

Job Description: Reporting to the Tool Room Manager, the Shop Accounting Intern assists in the accounting and inventory management of our bustling tool room, which sends tools and equipment to a variety of Turner construction projects throughout King County.

Shop Accounting Intern Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate data entry processes for jobsite specific invoices and prepare multi-project invoices for distribution to central financial center for input and posting.
  • Prepare journal entries and distribute to accountant for final review.
  • Manage tool charge-out system and administer program per company policies.
  • Engage with shop manager to generate invoices for all items rented or sold to projects.
  • Distribute invoices to project teams for review and facilitate requested revisions and disputes.
  • Assist with coordination of inspections and repairs of tools and equipment.
  • Assist with coordination of delivery and pickup of inventory from jobsites.
  • Update rental rates and replacement costs in program as applicable
  • Assist with fleet management as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
