Senior Human Dimension Officer (HUM00004P)

OSCE Program Office in Nur-Sultan is seeking a Senior Human Dimension Officer (HUM00004P), a middle manager with an advanced degree in a relevant field, and 6+ years of progressively responsible professional experience. The position requires: working experience in any of the fields of development of civil society, rule of law, election system, freedom of the media, promotion of gender equality, combating domestic violence and trafficking of human beings, prevention of torture, human rights advocacy, and promotion of rights of persons belonging to national minorities; experience in negotiating, communicating, and liaising with government officials and institutions, incl. human rights institutions, judiciary, law enforcement authorities, penitentiary; experience of working in a programmatic/strategic planning role using a results-based management approach; experience in analyzing, reporting and communicating on human dimension developments; organizational, analytical, communication, team working and interpersonal skills; thorough understanding of multi-disciplinary issues in international co-operation and development; gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities; ability and willingness to work as a member of team, with people of different cultural, and religious backgrounds, different gender, and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity; ability to work independently or under minimum supervision. Desirable: experience working in Central Asia and/or knowledge of the region’s history and recent developments; good knowledge of the Russian language; working experience in the field missions; knowledge of OSCE principles and commitments.
