Registered Nurse, Crisis Stabilization Unit

$3000 sign-on bonus

Eliot is seeking a Registered Nurse that is competence in crisis intervention and engagement strategies. Our ideal individual will be able to quickly establish rapport with wide range of clinical presentations. Having knowledge of the vast array of community resources and how to access them and a plus.

Eliot's Community Crisis Stabilization provides assessment and treatment delivering short term 24 hour treatment for adults in a structured and supportive environment. CCS provides person-centered stabilization and support of individuals in psychiatric distress in the least restrictive environment. Access to the CCS Program is provided through Eliot’s Emergency Psychiatric Services.

Responsibilities:
  • Assure that all service protocols for storing, administering and destroying medications are consistent with current nursing practice. 
  • Administer medications as ordered by the psychiatrist; monitor consumers for clinical/side effects and document observations for review by the psychiatrist.
  • Complete all medication administration documentation in accordance with policies and procedures of the program and Agency including transfer of physician orders and documentation of the Medication Administration records. 
  • Contact on-site or on-call psychiatrists to obtain written or verbal physicians orders for all CCS client admissions to the program. 
  • Conduct and document controlled substance counts in the controlled substance log book in compliance with applicable regulations and policy. 
  • Conduct medical monitoring protocols (i.e., pulse and blood pressure) according to service protocols and/or physician orders. 
  • Collaborate with prescribing psychiatrists and/or physicians in the community to ensure coordinated treatment planning and continuity of medical care.
  • Participate in daily psychiatric rounds and contribute to development/amendment of treatment plan, as well as implementation of physician orders.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm
Salary: $75,046.40/ annually
