Independent Living Program Director in Birmingham, AL

Summary: This position is responsible for planning and implementation of ILCC youth camps, leadership conferences, Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR) Independent Living Program (ILP) staff Networking Conference, DREAM Council Meetings, Celebration of Scholars, participation at a national conference for IL Youth, assisting State and County DHR offices in maintaining the National Youth in Transition Database (NYTD), promoting the Fostering Hope Scholarship Program, Alabama Education and Training Vouchers (AETV), Foster Youth to Independence Initiative (FYI), and other events and communications related to the CAS ILCC contract with DHR.

Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling. Three years in human services work, independent living experience preferred. Experience in special events planning and public relations preferred.
