This position is located in either our Fort Worth, TX or Topeka, KS corporate office and has the potential to be a hybrid position with up to 50% remote work.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
This Revenue Control position will be responsible for identification, execution and report out of all control facets of the Revenue process at BNSF. 
  • Manage work assignments and timelines.
  • Partner with various Revenue Management teams to review the control environment
  • Develop detailed process review steps to ensure controls are working as intended to mitigate risk.
  • Develop and present findings to appropriate levels of the organization utilizing both written and verbal formats.
  • Work with various teams to implement control improvements identified and provide follow-up to ensure action plans are working as intended.
  • Liaison with various teams including SOX, Corporate Audit and External Audit teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Two to five years’ experience of audit, finance, IT, or related business experience in public accounting or corporate finance/accounting role.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Ability to understand complex accounting processes and systems.
  • Ability to develop review procedures and execute steps in a timely manner.
  • Ability to analyze observations for root cause and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to evaluate work processes and make suggestions or recommendations for improvement.
  • Ability to successfully work in a collaborative environment and in a sole-contributor role.
  • Proven leadership experience and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (specifically Outlook, Visio, Excel, Word, and Power Point).
  • Knowledge of audit standards and methodologies, and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • CPA, CISSP, CISA. or CIA certification.
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques, programming, or system query techniques (Data Warehouse, SAS, TeamMate, Tableau, MS Access, SQL).
  • Knowledge of SAP.
