Chemical Process Engineer

Broad Function: The candidate will learn the chemical process area by assisting staff with process development, control, and improvement. The candidate will be involved in data collection and analysis to make process improvements.
 
Employment Status: This is a full-time job with employment offered through U. S. Amines. Benefits include flexible hours work schedule, medical, dental, vacation, and safe harbor plan 401K. Estimated salary as show but dependent on experience.
 
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Work with staff, engineers, or independently on engineering projects designed to improve processes. Conduct data collection and analysis to support projects. Make data-based suggestions for process improvements. Update documentation as necessary.
 
Required Experience: Must be a graduate of a Chemical engineering program. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 preferred. Internship or summer job with chemical process experience also preferred.
 
Required Skills: Must have proven written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English. Basic problem solving and project management abilities together with a professional image. Ability to work independently and multi-task. Strong computer skills to include MS Office products. Data collection and analysis. Basic understanding of engineering principles and tools.
 
Physical Demands: Ability to walk, climb, stoop, kneel, work in high places, confined spaces, and operate powered industrial equipment. Ability to use, wear, and work-in required PPE such as flame and chemical resistant clothing, goggles, safety glasses, respirator, and such other PPE as job and site appropriate.
 
Security Requirements: The ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent basis without restriction. Pass a pre-employment medical exam and drug screen. Must pass a criminal background check under federal DOT/DHS guidelines.
