Sales Support Specialist
Spring Meadow Nursery, Inc. (SMN) is based in Grand Haven, Michigan and was founded in 1981. A propagation nursery that specializes in shrubs, vines, and small trees, we are an industry leader in new, colorful flowering shrubs. Work to increase efficiencies for the sales department by organizing, managing and coordinating sales related duties for meetings, events and receptions. Manage inventory of sales demonstration documents as well as all tradeshow efforts. Maintain CRM database hygiene for all contacts and companies for the entire company. Assist the sales team with mailings, catalog requests and all in-house shipping requests. This position reports to the Sales Manager.
Occasional travel may be required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administrative point person for HubSpot CRM
- Establish and maintain protocols for consistency and good database hygiene
- Assist sales team in lead assignment
- Update sales contact database with address changes from returned marketing mailings and NCOA reports
- Manage national and regional tradeshows
- Contracts
- Logistics
- Materials
- LMS (Learning Management System) administration
- Manage access & settings
- Add content
- Report performance of users
- Reward users for progress
- Responsible for all outgoing sales materials
- Wholesale catalogs
- Consumer magazine
- Misc. shipping requests
- Maintain internal sales training program
- Maintain proper inventory of sales materials and documents
- Manage direct mail campaigns
- Meeting preparations
- Assemble packets
- Update all sales demonstration documents needed for event
- Coordinate with sales and licensing teams on creation of binders, literature and presentation documents
- Pre-show public relations
- Assist consumers searching for our product
Additional Responsibilities:
- Performs other related duties as required.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and excellent communication skills. Computer literacy is a must, with a strong understanding of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.), and HubSpot. Represent Spring Meadow Nursery and the Proven Winners plant brand in a positive and professional manner in all aspects of the role.
- Valid driver’s license
Performance Requirements:
- Must maintain a level of performance equivalent to company standards, that being a “Meets Expectations” in all areas of your performance evaluations (Self and Management reviews).
