Engineering Intern (Chemical or Mechanical)
FMC Active Ingredient Engineering group is currently seeking a highly motivated Chemical Engineering Intern and a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our 2023 Summer Internship Program. Our internship program provides you with the opportunity to apply your knowledge in an Active Ingredient Manufacturing setting. You will be assigned meaningful work on cutting-edge projects and, while enhancing and developing your technical skills. This opportunity is located at FMC Axis, AL plant.
The Intern will participate in the following activities/projects:
- Drive execution of Process Safety Management elements (Management of Change, Process Hazard Analysis, etc.). Identify opportunities and implement changes to deliver process safety and process technology improvement.
- Support projects directed by the Technical Center to deliver business value.
- Work with Area Managers and Improvement Engineer/Stewards for mentoring support and guidance needed to complete projects.
Education
To be considered for an Internship at FMC’s Axis Site, candidates must be studying at an accredited college or university and have at least a 3.0 GPA in your major.
Qualifications
- Chemical or Mechanical Engineering discipline student
- Successful candidates will be rising Juniors or Seniors during the summer of 2023.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a team environment and to work interdependently.
- Strong desire to want to learn and develop.
- Candidates are responsible for providing their own transportation. No relocation benefits.
