Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide engineering support to senior engineers for a variety of design civil projects (public and private) projects including water, wastewater, stormwater, transportation and recreational projects. Also includes site design for residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
- Assist in the development of probable construction cost estimates.
- Assist in the analysis and preparation of reports, maps and drawings.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits with Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, etc.,
- Prepare design computations and quantity estimates.
- Review construction site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents.
- Use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D in the preparation of surveys, site plans, grading plans, utility plans, construction layout and staking.
- Design site civil, municipal and transportation projects with the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software.
- GIS modeling and new app development
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Motivated, organized and responsible
- BS Civil Engineering or will graduate within one year
- Successful passing of FE
- 0 - 3 years of experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of computer software and hardware, including Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, queries) and Access
- Knowledge of ESRI software
