Warehouse Associate

Position Overview
The Warehouse Associate performs the daily shipping and receiving of finished goods materials and warehouse supplies; performs daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts; responsible for the accurate movement and placement of finished goods within the warehouse; maintains warehouse equipment; and other responsibilities as defined by the Distribution Manager.
Position Typical Day
The Warehouse Associate will begin their day by performing daily safety checks on warehouse forklift equipment. The Associate will then move to preparing for customer orders while ensuring supplies are stocked, and the pick area is clean and organized. The Associate will perform all forklift unloading and loading functions and will ensure each customer order is picked with care and precision. At the end of the shipping day, the Associate will assist loading various carriers before cleaning up the dock.
Position Job Duties:
·        Maintains storage area by organizing floor and rack space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
·        Assists in management of inventory by conducting daily, weekly, and monthly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data into various inventory control systems.
·        Keeps warehouse equipment in good repair by performing daily preventative maintenance tasks.
·        Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
·        Accomplishes the supply chain department’s mission by completing related projects as needed.
·        Performs routine physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products/inventory.
·        Performs basic transactions associated with distribution processes through internal and external computer systems.
·        Adheres consistently to SOPs and cGMPs.
·        Inspects all items for quality and damages in the receiving, storing, and shipping processes.
·        Physically examines incoming or outgoing shipments, products or samples to ensure they meet specifications and match paperwork. Identifies and records deviations and escalates to supervisor.
·        Operate machinery such as sit-down or stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks to perform, routine physical handling of items
·        Utilize and maintain various tools and supplies required to assemble packaging, and affixing of shipping labels

Related Experience
The successful candidate will be a personable, detail-oriented individual with the ability to problem solve, multitask, and have excellent communication skills. 1-2 years of experience in warehouse setting is preferred. Some knowledge of Microsoft Office and Shipping Software Solutions is preferred
Previous experience recommended in Warehouse and Forklift Operations
Drug test and background check are required.
