Electrical Construction Management Trainee

The Entry Level Electrical Construction & Servicing Management Trainee will learn branch operations through a series of work related assignments beginning at an entry level position. Trainees will gain practical hands-on field experience while learning MetroPower’s mission, vision, culture, and values and learn the essential skills of electrical estimating, bidding, and managing electrical related projects as a project manager. This position requires a willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment and candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact effectively with MetroPower employees, customers and vendors. Must be a quick learner and consistently display a positive attitude and willingness to assume a variety of training opportunities within the company. Must have a desire to work in a team-based environment and contribute immediately.

This position requires a valid driver's license issued by the state of the position applied to with a clean driving record. Incumbent must posses:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or Construction Management or related degree (must enjoy construction management)
2. Integrity – Non-negotiable
3. Enjoy working with your hands with strong desire to learn
4. A strong understanding of Microsoft Office and the Web
5. A strong desire to be part of a dynamic and Servant Leadership based company
6. A strong mechanical aptitude
7. Reliable and regular attendance is required
8. Willingness to travel


The Entry Level Electrical Construction & Servicing Management Trainee will learn branch operations through a series of work related assignments beginning at an entry level position. Trainees will gain practical hands-on field experience while learning MetroPower’s mission, vision, culture, and values and learn the essential skills of electrical estimating, bidding, and managing electrical related projects as a project manager. The individual must behave consistently with MetroPower’s Mission and Vision and focus on safety, learn and comply with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines. Gain knowledge of all aspects of branch management including but not limited to worksite safety, waste elimination, estimating, bidding, leadership, sales, material handling, order processing, and provide an outstanding level of customer service.
