Entry-level Civil Engineers/ Graduate Transportation Associates
The Tennessee Department of Transportation is currently hiring full-time entry level Civil Engineers for our West, Middle and East Tennessee locations. The Department of Transportation provides citizens of Tennessee and travelers with one of the best transportation systems in the country. TDOT is a multimodal agency with responsibilities in aviation, public transit, waterways, railroads, cycling, and walking.
TDOT’s Graduate Transportation Associate (GTA) Program is a highly competitive, professional development sequence that allows entry-level civil engineers to gain hands-on experience in the areas of maintenance, construction, design, and project management.
After a one-year probationary period, those who successfully complete the GTA program will flex into a higher level job class and receive a salary increase. Several former GTAs have gone on to assume senior leadership positions with TDOT.
We are currently looking to hire over 30 entry-level civil engineers across the state of Tennessee in various locations including Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga and Jackson.
