Field Engineer
If your career objective is field construction management, ultimately serving as project Superintendent, McShane Construction offers entry-level opportunities as Field Engineer to work full-time in the field with project staff. You will participate and learn all activities related to managing job sites for large-scale industrial, commercial, multi-family, and institutional projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with coordinating the efforts of multiple trades.
- Participate in project inspections and complete daily reports.
- Monitor progress of work and notify Superintendent of any delays.
- Assist with communication and coordination with municipal officials.
- Assist with project punch-list and oversee completion of all project disciplines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Construction, Civil Engineering, or related degree.
- Carpentry or other construction experience a plus.
- Able to communicate effectively and work productively with others.
- Other success factors include attention to detail, problem solving, reliability, initiative, positive attitude, professionalism, and an eagerness to learn.
- Ability to use or learn construction management software (CMiC, PlanGrid).
- Ability to use a computer, iPad, the Internet, and MicroSoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
