Structural Design Engineer

We are currently seeking both Entry Level and Experienced Structural Engineers for positions in our Nashville office.

Qualifications and Skills

Entry-Level Applicants should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, be highly motivated, have a sound technical background, and possess excellent communication skills.

Experienced Applicants should be licensed engineers with a minimum of 4 years’ experience and Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a sound technical background and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities and Duties

Structural Design Group provides consulting structural engineering design and construction administration services for healthcare, educational, hospitality, multi-family, commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities located throughout the United States and overseas. SDG is one of the largest structural engineering firms in Tennessee designing large, complex projects with construction values in excess of $500 million and employing over 40 engineers, structural modelers, and administrative personnel, with an average of 14 years’ experience each.
Job responsibilities will include structural engineering design including the preparation of structural calculations and specifications, direct client contact, and coordination with other project engineers and BIM modelers.

Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday Flexible schedule: Preferred work hours are Monday – Thursday, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm, and Friday, 7:30 am – 2:30 pm.
