Electrical Engineering Quotation Specialist

About Interstate Electrical Supply

IES is a multi-branch electrical supply distributor serving commercial, industrial, and contractor customers throughout Georgia and Alabama. We work alongside engineers, contractors, and project managers to supply materials for schools, medical facilities, manufacturing plants, and commercial projects. 

IES plays a critical role between project design and project execution - ensuring materials are properly specified, priced, and delivered to keep projects moving. 

 

Program Overview

The IES Engineering Industry Internship Program is designed for engineering students who want to understand how real-world projects move from drawings and specifications to pricing, procurement, and field execution. 

This program provides hands-on exposure to:

  • Technical product selection
  • Job quoting and pricing strategy
  • ERP-based project estimation
  • Contractor workflows and bid processes
  • Margin analysis and business decision-making
  • Coordination between sales, operations, and finance

Interns work directly with experienced quotation specialists and sales professionals while gaining insight into career paths within technical sales, project management, and distribution leadership.

Internship Details

  • Compensation: $18-20/Hourly
  • Hours: 15-40 per week depending on academic schedule
