Sports Medicine Intern

Job Description

This internship is targeting college and graduate students who have a specific interest in pursuing Sports medicine professions. Examples include Physicians, Physician Assistant and Athletic Training 

  • Clinical- Observations with primary care sports medicine/ortho physicians, physician assistants & athletic trainers
  • Research- Interns will gain an understanding of the Institutional Review Board and its regulatory policies through assisting with document organization for new study submissions, renewals, and closures. Interns will be required to complete two presentations during their internship. One, a case presentation the other a proposal for a clinical research project. At the end of the internship the intern will present the case and project to the core faculty and staff
  • Interns will be required to attend at least one sideline event coverage event during their internship.

 

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited public or private College/University
  • Ideal candidates will be pursuing a degree in Pre-Medicine, Physician Assistant and/or Athletic Training undergrad or graduate courses
  • Must be committed to completing the duration of the internship from June 2026 - August 2026
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident
  • Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship 
  • Coursework and/or experience with data collection and entry
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Candidate must be available to work some weekends
  • Cover letter stating specific interests and relevant experiences
