Job Title: Co-Op Engineer
This position is responsible for assisting in the planning, design, and oversight of civil engineering projects associated with structures, roads, stormwater design, water supply systems, and erosion control.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Planning: Create and develop civil engineering plans, including drafting, stormwater, utility, erosion, and grading plan designs, all while exploring and meeting city/county rules & regulations.
- Site Assessment: Conduct surveys and assessments to determine project feasibility/conditions, assist with NPDES stormwater inspections, develop BMP plans, and communicate with governing agencies.
- Collaboration: Work with developers, other engineers, government officials, and internal ACAI business divisions to ensure cohesive project development.
- Inspections & Quality Control: Perform site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to designs and specifications.
- Problem-Solving: Self-driven individual willing to address issues that arise during projects and propose engineering solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Currently enrolled in the Civil Engineering program and obtained a high school diploma.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D), M365, strong mathematical skills, timeliness, and excellent communication abilities.
